Pete T. made a little movie, just talking to the camera, this week, and we're watching it now on "In the Attic."
He just said that he feels kind of poised, as in on the edge of something...an important time...
I do too.
His background music is Bach, sounds like Glenn Gould playing, and it's a piece I play at the piano, too, I think it's from "Art of the Fugue."
Anyway, I feel strangely poised at this time too. Change...

I loved Pete's movie. I love how he's so open and honest about everything. It also makes me feel sort of protective of him if you know what I mean. The get together for the Christmas attic show sounds like fun. I can't promise I'll be able to make it. Depends on what else is going on.
Hi Elaine, Hey, congratulations, did I hear that you won a prize?
We don't really even know when the show will be, but I offered to host a small get-together here if any other Minneapolis-area Attic'ers want to come. Jessica is probably game but she works and has kids to care for, so who knows if it will work out? Just a fun idea.
But I'd love to host, so I'll keep that idea open.
His movie really reminded me of the late pianist Glenn Gould, who was also very brilliant and loved Bach, and who was actually the pianist playing the Bach Pete uses in the film!
Gould was ahead of his time with film, too.
Anyway, it was touching.
Thanks for posting.
Hi Minnesotafamily (interesting blog name),
We haven't, yet, but I thought it might be fun for what Rachel's been calling the Christmas "In the Attic" to get together here at my place (in the northwest suburbs).
It may or may not work out. Just a thought.
Pete's film was a real treat. I think it was not as serious as some have made it though. The backing music was super. And to get to watch a Master in his home studio. I am complete.
Hey, Joeboy, That's interesting, what you wrote about "serious." Pete seemed both serious and comfortable about it all, in a way. And yet he said he feels poised as if something is changing. I do have that sense, and I think that filmmaking is a great way to find out...almost like journaling...what is next? who will I be next? where am I about to go?
In that sense, it was a serious little film.
I loved when he panned the camera to the garden and showed us the palm tree. That was a great moment.
It's raining here in Minnesota today, about to turn to snow. I'm working about three more hours on this research project proposal, and then I will get in the car and make my way to school, where I will be in class for four straight (and intense) hours.
When I get home tonight, I want hot chocolate, flannel jammies, and a cuddle with the dog. Then blissful sleep. I've been working so hard.
Hope you are well in Texas.
