Another view of the Monterey cross. Can you see the moon, too? I took this one tonight also. You know, there are a number of famous, very old missions here in the Monterey area. My sister and I have visited one of the missions a few times, and it is always a profoundly moving experience. I feel very connected to Jesus and to Christianity here.

I am a mermaid living in Minnesota, but I am moving to the Pacific Northwest in 2008. I'm an energetic, happy girl who forgets she's a grown-up sometimes. I'm raising a terrific teenager and have a busy, joyful life. I'm in my last year of grad. school, getting a master's in counseling psych. I work part-time from home as a proofreader and editor, and I perform as a classical pianist. I also work as a Pure Romance consultant (ask me more if you are a woman over the age of 18 and if you like to pamper yourself). I have a special man in my life and count myself lucky to love someone who also makes me laugh like nobody else.

These are some gorgeous pictures, especially the one with the sunset.
The cross is so impressive, and being on the hill it reminds me of Golgotha of course.
A fabulous place to pray.
I would love to go to Monterey, pity I didn't go when I went to San Fran...boo hoo.

The pictures are lovely. I've been to Monterey a few times, stayed at the hotel directly on the beach (and whose name is completely escaping me now!) I have very fond memories of my trip down the coastal highway, and Monterey was a real highlight. So pretty looking out onto the ocean. Keep enjoying your trip!

Hey Brina, I've left comments on the previous two blog entries, cause I liked the photo's, I should visit more often, sorry.
Anyway, thanks for sharing, I love all these photo's. I alway's find it really hard to get a photo of the moon, it always looks so big in the sky, and tiny in a photo.
