I know the photo is unclear, but I love it anyway. It's my dad and me in a hotel pool here in Minnesota, 1985. I was still in my...gasp...twenties! and he was just 50. In fact, he was in town for his 50th birthday, which he celebrated with me and my sister and our husband/boyfriends.

Today is Dad's birthday. If he were still alive, he'd be 71. Happy birthday, Dad! Love you!
