We had a girls' day...me, my sister, and my sweet dog. It's sunset now and I'm only just now beginning the work of the day.

For some reason, I love this blurry photo of us.

Hi Brina, how are you? I love the pic of Polly in your lap, give her a kiss for me. Our loved ones are always in our hearts, whether with us or not.

Hi Brina,

Thanks so much for visiting my humble blog! Yes, I am very lucky to have my parents and to have the parents I have, if that makes sense. It was so nice to turn a regular Saturday afternoon in their lives into a very memorable event.

Adorable dog, by the way!

You mentioned your Dad was a copy editor -- I do a lot of freelance writing and editing, and recently finished a copy editing stint at The Hollywood Reporter. It is a thankless job and people treat you like a dentist at times! But it is important work to try to slow the erosion of our language skills!

Thanks again for visiting.

Hi Chris, and Lori and Grace and metalchick,

What a cool bunch of visitors I have to my blog! Happy to see you guys.

Chris, not only was my dad a career copy editor, but my boyfriend is one and I am a freelance editor and proofreader, and it goes on and on...I'm tickled that there's another editor in our midst.

Grace, I'm doing fine although it's arctic cold here right now, and I'm frequently heard to say to Polly, "It's COLD OUT HERE! Please come in!" on our walks. She is an arctic kind of dog and loves nothing more than to do endless snow angels in the snow and grass.

Lori, it's almost visiting time!

And metalchick, your hair makes me smile every time I see your profile photo. You look great in that color.

Hugs,
Brina
