I pray to the birds.
I pray to the birds because I believe
they will carry the messages of my heart upward.
I pray to them because I believe in their existence,
the way their songs begin and end each day
---the invocations and benedictions of earth.
I pray to the birds because they remind me of what I love
rather than what I fear.
And at the end of my prayers,
they teach me how to listen.

Hi Brina, I love the photo and the text that accompanies it, thankyou. It has been far too long since I visited your blog, but I will return soon. Thankyou so much for the shout on my blog, I truly appreciate your kind words. Thanks Brina, about the rest of the US Tour, well I know absolutely nothing about any plans. Hope to see to one day, take care and once again thankyou.

I think this photo is fantastic. The poem brought tears to my eyes, it was beautiful.
I feel for you, and I'm glad you're doing better today.xoxoLisa

Great to hear from you both! Mikey, if you do come to Minneapolis (Dec. 8th), you will get to meet me and Jessica, early-days Rachel bloggers and In the Attic fans. We sure hope you'll be here.

I am doing well today. Thanks for taking a look at one of my favorite photos, and wow, that poem just gets to me.

Hugs,
Brina

LOVE the picture.
I am so upset I didn't see Rachel at Barnes And Noble in Chicago, hopefully I'll meet her again some other time though. I know you'll have an AMAZING time.
Of course I remember AJ ; )

Hey Claire,

I'd say you've met Rachel and Pete and Mikey more up-close and personal than any of us, you "Attic" star, you!

Love and hugs,
Brina

P.S. I'm trying not to play matchmaker, but...maybe when you are in your 20s, you'll meet my son and say "wow!"
