About Me
- Name: Bri
- Location: Plymouth, Minnesota, United States
I am a mermaid living in Minnesota, but I am moving to the Pacific Northwest in 2008. I'm an energetic, happy girl who forgets she's a grown-up sometimes. I'm raising a terrific teenager and have a busy, joyful life. I'm in my last year of grad. school, getting a master's in counseling psych. I work part-time from home as a proofreader and editor, and I perform as a classical pianist. I also work as a Pure Romance consultant (ask me more if you are a woman over the age of 18 and if you like to pamper yourself). I have a special man in my life and count myself lucky to love someone who also makes me laugh like nobody else.

With the eyes yes! I have the opposite...a painting my grandmother did of ME in my home! an oil.
We have cool grandmothers don't we!
Yes, we sure do!
I'd love to see the painting.
What was your grandmother like?
Hugs,
Brina
The eyes for sure.
One of my proudest possessions is a painting that I have of my Grandfather's 3rd wife (she was much younger than he, blonde, very beautiful, and sadly died just three months before he did a couple of years ago). The painting was by her first husband, its very modern looking, he was a superb artist and his style did justice to his rather excellent subject.
I don't have it in my room in London, I didn't want anything to happen to it, but it will take pride of place over the rather distant marital mantlepiece that I can see somewhere, far off, in the future.
Aren't paintings SO much better than photography?!
Tom.
Hey, I'm back, yey!
I want to read your previous posts when I'm relaxed, I'll do it tomorrow and leave comments, on all your recent ones, look v. interesting.
I remember my Great-grandmother. She was like a typical Greek old lady, the one you see in the movies and in old photos: black clothes, black scarf on the head and a cane. You thought she's a sweet old lady. In fact she was a warrior, she had fought on all the wars, in the Greek Resistence and she had so many stories to tell.
She died very old, almost 100 years old, if not older.
Anyways, getting ready for the Basement Jam tonight. I'm so excited, I have been sneezing for the past 20 minutes continuously, LOL.
Can't wait!!!
Are you going to BallerinaGurl's chatroom tonight? It's always so much fun!
Lots of kisses

Not just the eyes, wow! And so pretty!
Your Gran really has a Grace Kelly
quality there, reminded me of G.K. anyway.
xoxoLisa
Hey Lisa,
I never really saw the Grace Kelly connection until you mentioned it, and now I completely see it! Thanks.
Nana had beautiful skin too, and a lovely glow which the portrait painter (her sister-in-law) definitely captured here.
Wow, Grace Kelly!
Hugs, Brina
